Dungeon World is a Pen and Paper Role Playing Game written by Sage LaTorra and Adam Koebel. It's based on the same engine as D. Vincent Baker's Apocalypse World, only set in a fantasy world of wonderment and adventure instead of a nuked-out husk of our world. So what the hell does all of that mean?
Okay, but why use it for a podcast?Well, as a Dungeon World DM you are encouraged to do as little pre-planning as possible. Since this was the first time half of the players were playing with the group (and the first time playing a P&PRPG for one of them), and winging things is something CW throws at players often, Dungeon World was the perfect fit.
Plus, with it's conversational structure, it works really well recorded as audio.
